Bryce and Lexi were a blast in the studio. I've know these two since they were in elementary school back when I was splitting time between photography and being their school librarian. Last time I photographed the whole family in their beautiful backyard but this time it was just the two of them and a change of scenery. Bryce is now driving (Yikes)! And Lexi is in junior high. Oh... And they pretty much rock.
Last night was the first night of Cotillion for my son. Boys may not really WANT to sign up to put on a suit and dance with girls at this age... But I think my tween son, along with MANY of his friends, ended up having a really good time. This was the first time Campbell has actually worn a suit. He has worn a tie before... But that has been a black skinny tie with short sleeve edgy plaid shirt, jeans, and his standard checked Vans. I was a pretty proud mom when he stepped out of his room in his black suit and black & white gingham tie. But I still can't believe how fast he is growing up. Please make time stop!
I hope you are all enjoying your own beat of the summer... My son, Campbell, sure is! I'm thankful that he let me grab a few shots of him yesterday. This is how he usually appears nowadays. Almost 11 years old and he is loving mixing songs on his iPad mini and listening to his Beats headphones.

And the individual images...
Today was the coldest of the season so far... And I, for one, am hoping we get at least a few really good snows here in Dallas this year. In fact, I would love, love, love to have a major snow like we did the year before last so kids can have some real sledding fun again. Even the little dusting this morning was enough to make me even more excited about the upcoming holidays. I'm counting down to spending time with my own family, as I'm sure all of you are. As much as I adore my clients, I just can't wait to snuggle my family by the fire!
On that note, Tracy Allyn Photography will be closed from December 21st to January 9th. I'm looking forward to seeing all of my established clients and meeting many new families and seniors in 2013!
