Even though I usually don't photograph newborns there is no way I can ever resist a session with one of my own. On Sunday my son, Campbell, and I got to meet Baby Katie. Katie is my niece, Megan's third born and she is just as precious as her first two! After the shoot, Campbell had some time to hold her on the couch and I had to sneak in a couple of quick pictures of the sweetness of cousins...Once removed. I think we'll just call her cousin. So cute and sweet!
Spring is nearly over, summer on the way, and Texas is coming into a week of sunshine after horrendous flooding. So what better way to celebrate this beautiful day than with a father / son moment? Yes, the torch has been passed and my husband is teaching my son to mow the lawn. Love.
The bond between mother and son is something I hold dear to my heart. Melissa and Spencer celebrated their family with a session that was filled with love and joy and made me smile the entire time. And this tween boy blew me away with his style and easy going personality, too! I couldn't believe he picked his outfit head to toe! I absolutely adored photographing the two of them. This is such an important age to capture of our kids!
We are so fortunate to have White Rock Lake in Dallas and it is one of my favorite places to photograph... Year round! No matter the season, it is a beautiful backdrop for your portraits. Consider the lake and surrounding fields and schedule your session for this spring or summer. Sessions are booking now! Call the studio or contact Tracy Allyn Photography through the contact page on the blog or website for yours. For portfolio & information, visit www.tracyallyn.com.
Last night was the first night of Cotillion for my son. Boys may not really WANT to sign up to put on a suit and dance with girls at this age... But I think my tween son, along with MANY of his friends, ended up having a really good time. This was the first time Campbell has actually worn a suit. He has worn a tie before... But that has been a black skinny tie with short sleeve edgy plaid shirt, jeans, and his standard checked Vans. I was a pretty proud mom when he stepped out of his room in his black suit and black & white gingham tie. But I still can't believe how fast he is growing up. Please make time stop!
