Audra and her kids, Madeline and Tyler, are such a fun family! Last year we shot an urban session and the kids (especially Tyler) loved climbing all over the Arts District "landscape." So when we were thinking of a location for this shoot, Grapevine Lake popped into my head for a natural version of stuff to climb on. This location is a new one for me... I've only shot there a couple of times now. I still can't believe this is in our own "backyard!" The evening sun was perfect for the setting, too!
A few months back I had the pleasure of photographing this great guy. Edward lives in Colorado but came to visit his family and while here, we photographed his younger sister's senior pictures, some of the two of them together, and some portraits of just him. He has an awesome personality and kept his sister (and me!) laughing for most of the session. Thanks for keeping it fun, Edward!
This whole session was such a joy to shoot. Sometime soon I will be sharing more pictures of Edward and his sister, Lily, together.
Yes... I realize that springtime just arrived in Dallas. And I am looking forward to shooting so many wonderful April and May sessions! In fact, I still have a few available (call quickly)! But while you are booking your spring portrait sessions, why not think about booking your fall sessions as well! Really... It's not too early! Several weekend sessions for this fall are already booked up but Tracy Allyn Photography still has available weekend and weekday sessions in September, October, and November. Snag your choice date while you can for your Senior Class of 2015, child, family, couples, or individual portrait session!
Visit www.tracyallyn.com to view portfolio and see session information. Then call 214.341.0955 to schedule your session!
And because a photographer just can't do a blog post without a picture, how about some inspiration and motivation? Here are a few snapshots from my little walk-around camera, the Fuji x100s, from last fall.
The light, the location, the weather, the subject(s), and the company... It all just worked for this session. From the first time I talked to her mom, Christin, on the phone I knew we would have a great shoot just from her personality. And I was not wrong. I met Christin and her daughter Sara, a gorgeous and sweet young lady for her portrait session to celebrate Sara's 16th birthday with pictures of her and the most beautiful Golden Retriever I have ever seen. We met up in Prosper, Texas for a rustic urban mixed with nature kind of shoot. What we didn't know was that, unfortunately, all of the fields had just been mowed. But that didn't matter! We found an awesome patch of dried grass (it doesn't take much) with beautiful light shining down. Sara and Libby just lit up for my camera. This dog was absolutely perfect! She may have had some energy and played around but I swear she is smiling in some of the images!
It really was great to see Cole again. I met him last year when his family did portraits so I was thrilled that they asked me to shoot his senior pictures. We headed out to the lake for some shots that involved a little nature. There were so many we loved... Here are just a few of them.
