Fall Family Photos at Klyde Warren Park {Dallas Portraits}

Chris, Christine, and Kai met me last fall for a family portrait session on a weekday morning at Klyde Warren Park. I absolutely love this family and am enjoying seeing Kai grow up... This was my third time photographing them and I can't wait to see them again in just a few weeks!

Klyde Warren is such a blast to visit, with great green space, a treehouse, splash features, ping pong, books and games, putting green, corn hole, and even a small dog park. If you've never been, you must!  But the park is not always the best for portraits if you are shooting on a weekend. You see, everyone else in Dallas loves it, too! So weekday mornings are the perfect opportunity for such a fun shoot. Thinking this might be the location for you? Contact me to book your shoot! And with just a few open spots left for fall, hurry!

Fall is Coming {Dallas Family Photographer}

Fall is almost here! It is my favorite season... EVER! I love everything about it. The crisp air, the colors of the leaves, the sweaters. And I also love seeing some of my favorite families for their annual photos. One of those is this adorable trio. I can't believe I never blogged Chris, Christine, and Kai's session from last year. So they will be up next! Until then... Enjoy this cute shot of them walking hand in hand at Klyde Warren Park.

Jeremy, Lindsay, & Crew {Dallas Family Photography}

A few days ago I shared a sweet and playful series of Jeremy & Lindsay kissing with their kiddos, Jack, Hazel, and Collin, in the foreground.  Ahem... You may have caught onto this already from my website portfolio and blog, but I am a huge sucker for kissing photos!  So it won't be a surprise if you see a few more in the other images from their session.

When Lindsay contacted me she said she wanted something playful in a modern setting.  Perfect!  In fact, right up my alley!  We planned for an outing in the Dallas Arts District and finished up with the playground at Klyde Warren Park.  The park can get quite crowded but luckily, with the warm weather and early sunrise lately, we started early and beat the crowds... Unless you count the boot camp that was going on on the park lawn!  The kids really enjoyed themselves at both locations and the shoot was a ton of fun for me, too!  I love this crew!  Between the smiles, giggles, snuggles, and gazes we had some really funny expressions.  I love the crazy look Jack is giving the family in one shot!  And what kids don't love to finish a shoot running through water?  I was tempted to myself!

Thank you so much for a fun-filled morning, Lindsay & Jeremy!

Uptown and Downtown Family Outing {Dallas Photographer}

The holidays have come and gone... And Tracy Allyn Photography will reopen this Wednesday.  So we have been packing in plenty of fun time for my little family of three.  Yesterday, we spent the entire morning and afternoon around Uptown and Downtown Dallas.  Our city has so much to do and it continues to get better and better!

Although we have been to First Saturday at the Nasher Sculpture Center more times than we can count, we mixed it up a bit by starting our (very cold) morning with a trolley ride on the McKinney Avenue Trolley.  We figured, why not have some fun and have an easier time parking?  Besides, I always love the trolley! As usual, we enjoyed our time at the Nasher... Where we even ran into one of Campbell's friends while he was making the art project.

After the sculpture scavenger hunt our tummies were rumbling for some of those Dallas food trucks over at Klyde Warren Park!  Rob and I have been hearing lots about the great Banh Mi from the Nammi truck.  It definitely did not disappoint!  So good!!!  Campbell wasn't as brave but did love his burger from Relish.  I'm sure they have some really awesome ones (like that Mushroom and Truffle Relish Burger!) but he stuck to the basics.

This was our first (of many to come) time at the Deck Park.  The place is huge and incredible with so much to do.  My boys had fun playing ping pong, foosball, and golf.  We finished with Campbell climbing the "tree house" deck and pretending he was in Lord of the Rings. Next time I want to sit and play some chess (even though I'm horrible), Jenga, and croquet and I hope we happen to be there for some live music.  I also love that they have plenty of books for some reading in the sun.

And now some snapshots of our family outing... What a great day!
