Fall Family Photos at Klyde Warren Park {Dallas Portraits}

Chris, Christine, and Kai met me last fall for a family portrait session on a weekday morning at Klyde Warren Park. I absolutely love this family and am enjoying seeing Kai grow up... This was my third time photographing them and I can't wait to see them again in just a few weeks!

Klyde Warren is such a blast to visit, with great green space, a treehouse, splash features, ping pong, books and games, putting green, corn hole, and even a small dog park. If you've never been, you must!  But the park is not always the best for portraits if you are shooting on a weekend. You see, everyone else in Dallas loves it, too! So weekday mornings are the perfect opportunity for such a fun shoot. Thinking this might be the location for you? Contact me to book your shoot! And with just a few open spots left for fall, hurry!

Dream Backyard Session {Dallas Family Photographer}

Sometimes I'm looking back at images for something and I see a session and think, "holy cow wow... Did I never blog that?" This was one of those mornings. And how could I deprive anyone of seeing this beautiful extended family? I mean, I've photographed them a few times now, always in Grandma and Papa'sgorgeous (seriously stunning!) and huge park like backyard in North Dallas. The girls, cousins, love swinging on the super tall tree swing and this time, their dresses made them so happy and they loved hamming it up for the camera. Thank you, Jan and CB, for inviting me into your home to photograph your handsome sons, Ben and Ceb, and their gorgeous girls... Both wives and daughters!

Matt, Jenny, Aiden, and Logan {Dallas Ft. Worth Family Photographer}

By now you will definitely recognize this family... Some of my longtime favorites here at Tracy Allyn Photography!  Jenny & Matt have been clients since Aiden was just a toddler and Logan was a teeny tiny baby runt and friends even before that!  We have photographed sessions together all over the D/FW area and this time we explored the Riverfront area of Dallas. These two little guys are becoming such young little men while still maintaining their rough and tumble boy status. They both really enjoyed having their picture taken this year.  Of course, when you get to climb all over while shooting it certainly doesn't hurt! Most of these "poses" are really just them playing around and being their goofy selves. Gotta love 'em!

Our Trip to the Beach {Family Photography}

By the end of this week fall will be here... Can you believe it?  It is my absolute favorite season and always has been!

But this summer was pretty spectacular.  We were lucky enough to take not one, but two trips to the beach.  The first one, in June, was a great trip with family on my husband's side to the San Diego area. It was so much fun and we packed a lot into it with the grandparents, cousins, aunt and uncles, and great grandma.

But there is just something about winding down the summer with just the three of us and three days of doing absolutely nothing, other than hanging out at the ocean in Orange Beach, Alabama.  We did just that the week before school started back up.  It was nothing short of perfection.

Our first night there we kicked off our trip with a quick family self portrait session!  I treasure these pictures so much and love how they turned out!

I have to give props to my assistant photographers... Campbell (our 11 year old son) photographed Rob and me and Rob photographed Campbell and me.  The rest of the images (including the family tripod shot) were shot by yours truly.

Sometimes it is hard for me to get in front of the camera, but I'm so glad I did.  We even ordered nine of them as a canvas cluster that is now hanging in my studio so I can look at it everyday!   I'll be sharing the canvases with you soon in a separate post!

Dave, Christie, Andrew, & Anna {Dallas Family Photographer}

A fun family, a windy afternoon, dried field and winter-like trees, and a little parkour.  This is the second time I have photographed Dave, Christie, Andrew, and Anna.  The last time was quite awhile ago in the extreme summer heat and we decided to shoot in the studio.  This time, we couldn't have been more into nature.  I loved seeing them again... Even if my heart did almost stop when Andrew was jumping over bridges.
