I can never get enough of the evening sun when the leaves are changing! This late fall session with my two favorite redheads, Lauren and Lindsey, at White Rock Lake was everything I wanted it to be for the best season of the year. Shooting with my all-time favorite 85mm lens (if you don't have one, get one!) added to the softness of the background oranges, yellows, and greens. Seriously, I wish I could freeze this scene in time as our fall color is always so fleeting. Our beloved White Rock Lake offers so many things to our community, awesome photography locations just being one. Thank you, Mother Nature!
The bond between mother and son is something I hold dear to my heart. Melissa and Spencer celebrated their family with a session that was filled with love and joy and made me smile the entire time. And this tween boy blew me away with his style and easy going personality, too! I couldn't believe he picked his outfit head to toe! I absolutely adored photographing the two of them. This is such an important age to capture of our kids!
We are so fortunate to have White Rock Lake in Dallas and it is one of my favorite places to photograph... Year round! No matter the season, it is a beautiful backdrop for your portraits. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. Ours in Texas was fun as usual. This year we had a larger than normal gathering and we were all excited that my stepsister's family was able to make it in! So while they were in town we scheduled my niece, Kaylee's senior portraits. She is a Class of 2015 senior in Amarillo and wanted some good ol' Texas trees included. And the trees over the road leading to Grandmother's house were gorgeous! What do you think? I think we nailed it on this first peek! In fact, it may be one of my all time favorites!!! I can't wait to get to work on the rest of her gallery! Isn't she stunning?
Leave Kaylee some love in the comments section below the image!

But while you are booking your spring portrait sessions, why not think about booking your fall sessions as well! Really... It's not too early! Several weekend sessions for this fall are already booked up but Tracy Allyn Photography still has available weekend and weekday sessions in September, October, and November. Snag your choice date while you can for your Senior Class of 2015, child, family, couples, or individual portrait session!

And because a photographer just can't do a blog post without a picture, how about some inspiration and motivation? Here are a few snapshots from my little walk-around camera, the Fuji x100s, from last fall.
Never will I get over how much I adore photographing this family. Every year I sing their praises... For their style, their sweetness, not to mention their gorgeousness. This is the 4th session we have shot together and this time we went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was a perfect day, even though we didn't think so at first. The clouds were seriously threatening rain but lightened up just enough to be a perfect soft box and light them beautifully. We came away with so many images and these were just some of our favorites. Ray, Kristen, Chloe, and Parker, thank you for your loyalty to Tracy Allyn Photography. I can't wait to see what next year brings!
