Prairie View A&M University's new Farrell Dining Hall sports an industrial chic interior that blends bold colors with warm wood accents. It upholds the University's legacy and history while making an exciting new dining atmosphere for students. GSR Andrade Architects preserved and highlighted historical aspects of the existing building by incorporating the original laundromat scale as a feature in the dining space and created a vibrant mural depicting the historic campus with an image of the building's namesake, Henrietta Farrell. GSR Andrade and Archer Construction & Design partnered on this modern food hub that also includes a Grab-And-Go deli and laundry facilities to address multiple college student needs.
This spring I had the pleasure of meeting a high school senior named Brooke. She is not only beautiful, but sweet, poised, funny, and classy. Brooke will be heading to the University of Texas this fall and will be going through sorority recruitment. I loved photographing her for the whole sorority process. We met up at their beautiful country club location and the wind, well I think we worked with it. That afternoon sunlight and the wind blowing her hair... [smile]. The little golf cart pic was just for her Dad. Love it!
Good luck, Brooke! I will never forget my own rush (as we called it back then!) experience. I met my longest time best friend during that week and we pledged ZTA together. Enjoy this time!
Brooke called us during our Sorority Recruitment special that we had this spring.

You won't want to miss it and it ends August 31st!!! Look back a bit... (hint) it was announced in July!

Melissa and her mom are two smart ladies! Melissa is heading off to Baylor University this fall and in the spring she will be going through sorority rush. What brilliance to plan ahead and get portraits to accompany her applications. Think about it... rush is very much a two-way interview process. The houses will be putting their best face forward so shouldn't you? She looked absolutely beautiful... natural, modern, classy, and confident!
Best of luck, Melissa! Enjoy the whole experience!
