The Clark Family {Dallas Portraits in Architecture}

Our Dallas skyline is absolutely incredible! Several years ago the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, designed by Santiago Calatrava, made it even more so. I love driving over the bridge in either direction over the Trinity River, especially at night with the top down on my car! The pedestrian Continental Avenue Bridge provides a fantastic view of this skyline architecture and also happens to be a fun spot for portraits. Definitely, a great location that you can even finish up at Trinity Groves for dinner or drinks after the shoot to make an evening of it!

A little while back, The Clarks and I took advantage of a beautiful, warm evening for their family portraits and the boys even enjoyed some climbing on the bridge's park structures. I love the warm light of the setting sun on their faces!  And if you are looking for ways to style your outfits, their oranges and blues with mixed solids and patterns were fantastic!

Tracy Allyn Photography is now booking sessions for spring. Contact the studio to talk about your session, whether it be an urban location like the Clarks chose or in nature. Email, call 214.682.3965 or use the contact page.  Weekday and weekend sessions are available.

Senior Portrait Time {Dallas Senior Photographer}

Whether you choose to do your senior portraits during the fall or spring of your senior year, we will find the perfect location for your session.  Some clients choose nature, some choose an urban edge, and some a more formal spot.  Me? I love anything... If it suits your personality and you're loving it, we will get great results!

Christina and her family love the Dallas Arboretum so she traveled up from Spring, Texas. This gorgeous Class of 2017 senior shined throughout the afternoon with her dazzling smile. And I don't think I've ever been more jealous of anyone's flowing and shiny waves. In fact, her grandma and I joke that some of these could be hair ads! Seriously! But even better is that her personality is just as bright.

As we kick off another school year in the Dallas / Ft. Worth metroplex, make sure you get on the schedule immediately for your senior portrait session, Class of 2018!  Dates are booking fast for both fall and spring. Call, email, or go through the contact page to connect with me.  And don't forget to visit for more information, pricing, and a full portfolio.

Christina's mom, older sister, and her best friend came along with her during the session.  As we were walking out and I was talking to her mom, we turned around to see the girls mid-selfie. They are adorable!

And just because I can't get enough of her sweet personality, here are a few more of my faves!

Canstruction Dallas 2015

The Canstruction Dallas teams have designed, they've built, and tonight they will celebrate and find out who the award winners are.  29 groups of architects, engineers, and contractors have come together to create some pretty incredible structures in the city of Dallas... All out of cans.  That's right, cans... Of food. This year we saw an unbelievable amount used with teams setting a new record for Dallas at a final count of 161,544 cans thatwill be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.  Now that is something to celebrate!

After the awards are announced they will appear on the SDA Dallas Canstruction and Canstruction Facebook pages. Make sure to check back and find out who the winners are.  The public can also vote for their favorite and have an opportunity to donate to NTFB. Check out One Can Dallas to cast your vote for People's Choice and help fight hunger!

You also don't want to miss your chance to see the canstructures in person at the Science Place Building during the State Fair of Texas from September 25 - October 18.

Want to get a sneak peek and see these structures now?  Check out the official images video by Tracy Allyn Photography below of the build-out process and the resulting structures.  You can also see this year's video along with previous year videos of 2014, 2013, and 2012 at
